Listening to indie bands can often be a tedious task, beacuse for every good band/artist out there, you’ll come across multiple that are just awful. Thankfully, Bon Iver falls among the former. Bon Iver is the type of band you can listen to in any mood. They’re mellow when you’re sad, yet you can sing the same songs aloud at the top of your lungs if you’re happy.
Signed to indie label Jagjaguwar, Bon Iver (pronouned as bon hiver is in French) is the music project of Justin Vernon, joined live by Sean Carey and Mike Noyce. In 2008, Vernon released the album For Emma, Forever Ago, which contains one of my favourite tracks Skinny Love. In February 2009, he released the EP Blood Bank, the title track of which I think is even better.
